1 Month in - a conversation with the NDIM co-founders (Podcast link)
Reflecting positively on the actions, conversation and sentiment since introducing ourselves to the world on 21st October, we share a well timed pod release, talking about NDIM's beginnings and hopes!
Happy Friday. After a week of questionable weather, ramping up of events, Christmas planning, including potentially painful social gathering planning, and Black Friday madness, we hope you are all maintaining sanity and taking the time out to breathe and plan for a relaxing weekend.
As we do the same and reflect, we wanted to mark our 1 month of ‘being live’. Happy anniversary!
Without repeating last update, we have been overwhelmed (literally, too much for our time/resource) with support and folks looking to be allies, adopting the 4S in their agencies and media companies, and lending their own platforms (albeit voices, content, events and more). We are slowly working through it and considering potential solutions/alliances, but regardless, we want to again briefly thank you all, and ICYMI, check out the checklist we shared of how you can get involved further.
Meanwhile, and speaking of generous allies and platforms, we were kindly invited on to the excellent MediaCat Magazine’s podcast to discuss the topic of Neurodiversity in Media (big thanks to Mike and Nazli Selin).
It is probably a useful jumping off point/refresh for you to listen to us talk about it all, and answer Mike’s questions on the starting of this, our own experiences that lit the fire in us, the vision, the 4S’, the hopes and also the challenges/changing perceptions we know we have to bear in mind/affect as we help move the industry forward in this area.
You can listen to the audio below, on YouTube, Spotify, Apple etc or check out other preferred listening options on the MediaCat host page.
Make a drink of choice (as its Friday there is no judgment) and take 27 minutes (at normal speed) to hear more! Or forward to who you think needs to hear this.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
