Meet the NDIM Champion : CHRISTOPHER KENNA
Christopher Kenna, Founder & Global CEO of BA Diversity Media. Has ADHD & Epilepsy
I work in the media and wider advertising industry, best known for founding Brand Advance, a global network that connected brands with underrepresented communities, particularly the Black British and LGBTQ+ populations. My experience as commercial director at GayTimes exposed me to the lack of diversity in advertising, which inspired me to build the changes needed. As a mixed-race, gay father, I bring a unique perspective, aiming to offer brands a more authentic way to engage with marginalized voices and elevate underrepresented communities in the media space.
I'm now the Founder and Global CEO of US Company , BA Diversity Media. The company operates 4 CTV channels and 7 digital publications alongside Creative Shops and Production companies in the UK, US and India.
My personal journey with ADHD and EPILEPSY due to a head injury whilst serving in the British Army has both driven my success and presented challenges. I view ADHD as a source of hyper-focus and energy, propelling me to set ambitious goals and push boundaries.
While my neurodiversity has been an asset, enabling my relentless drive, it has also caused difficulties in articulating instructions and ideas, sometimes leading to miscommunication within my teams.
Nonetheless, I see these challenges as opportunities for growth, continuously working to improve my communication while embracing ADHD as a key factor in my success.
